The movie review of Much Add About Nothing

I have never heard about the title, even though I often read the books which Shakespeare wrote. I have an image that the books of Shakespeare are all sad story, but this movie is so interesting.

Many characters enter this movie. It is difficult for me to understand quickly. There are two couples. One of them is Benedick and Beatrice. They started to fight as soon as they met for the first time. On the other hand, another couple, Claudio and Hero, are a quiet couple. Claudio is the follower of Don Pedro, and fell in love with Hero at first sight.

I like Benedick and Beatrice’s couple better. They are weak in the other sex each other. They are both contrary, and can’t be obedient. So Don Pedro tries to get them together. I think he is just Cupid. Beatrice always says all manner of abuse to Benedick, but the words contain some wit. This suggests her intelligence, I think.

I think Benedick and Beatrice married by their intention. So I felt their word and deed are free but bcause Claudio and Hero’s couple’s way to engagement is very stiff.  On top of that, Claudio humiliated Hero! I can’t believe that. Claudio is a bad man, and I don’t like him. When Beatrice asked Benedick to kill Claudio, I agreed with her opinion very much. I hope for Hero’s happiness.

“In brief, since I do purpose to marry, I will think nothing to any purpose that the world can say against it; and therefore never flout at me for what I have said against it; for man is a giddy thing, and this is my conclusion.” This is what Benedick says, and I like this the best in this movie.

The movie review of Monsters Inc.

I watched this movie about three years ago so I didn’t remember a lot of sense of this movie. This time, I watched again, and I found this movie is so funny.

Monsters Inc. is a fictional company. There are a lot of monsters. They have individual looks. They work to scare children, and get energy from their voice. One of them, Sulley, he is the most famous monster. He is a huge blue monster, and has two horns. He is “the best scarer” in the company. But he is such a kind and friendly man, and everyone likes him. Sulley’s best partner is Mike. He is a green and round monster. It looks like a ball. And he has just one eye. He is very chatty. But, I like him better than Sulley.

Their company has the rule which is “don’t love human children.” However, one day a little girl came to monster city. Sulley tried to send the child home with Mike. Sulley named her Boo. At first, Sulley and Mike were afraid of Boo, because the monsters believe that human children are poison. However, while staying with her, they started to love Boo. Then they found that humans and monsters are just afraid each other. Human children don’t have poison. Monsters are not terrifying. And lastly, Sulley changed their company’s course from scaring children to to making children laugh. It enables them to get more energy.

This movie’s setting is devised. Sulley and Mike lives in fantasy world. On the other hand, Monsters Inc. is an electric power company. At a glance, this combination looks like mismatch, but audiences are drawn into this story. I think it is because the characters are very charming.

While I watching this movie, I was thinking that I want to touch Sulley’s fur. Also it is too interesting the scene of two big monsters caused panic by little girl just walking. I learned there is no border to love someone from this movie. I didn’t find this message when I watched the first time.

The movie review of Twilight

I had never watched this stylish, jaunty, mysterious, and romantic movie!
Basically I don’t choose this type of movie to watch, so I think I got a precious
experience this time. When this movie was being shown at theatres, I heard its advance
billings. However I couldn’t be interested in this work, because I don’t like horror
movies. The advance billings treated Twilight like a horror movie, I think. But it was
wrong, it is not only a horror movie but also a love story.

The heroine, Bella, has a friend who is a Native American and werewolf. I
think it is sufficient to surprise, but still more, she was falls in love with a vampire! I
had known these settings before I watched this movie. So I couldn’t watch because I felt
ashamed. I think this is the story which American people like a lot. Also I anticipated it
as similar to a Japanese girls’ comic book for the first time.

However, after I watched this movie, I changed my thinking as mentioned
above. My favorite scene of this movie is whenthe vampires are playing baseball. We
often imagine that vampires usually wear black clothes and mantles and have fangs.
Also they are cruel and cool. But the vampires play baseball! I couldn’t believe it. It is so
funny. And they have a homelike atmosphere. They surpassed my image of vampire.
They are nothing different compared with human. I like them.

This movie’s hero, Edward, says a lot of romantic words to Bella. They make
me crazy for him. This movie reminds me of the palpitation you have when you are
loving someone. The forbidden love with something not human like a vampire is the
eternal dream of girls. Certainly, it is not a realistic story, but it gave profit to my heart.
This movie was originally a book and it is the most popular book among young
people in America. I want to read it and be soaked in this world more.

The third man's story summary

I watched "The Third Man" at spring term. Then I wrote this story summary.

A train pulled into the station. An American man, Holly Martins arrived in Vienna. Vienna has been occupied by four powers since finished the Second World War. There are many racketeers. People trade goods in the Black Market, such as boots, stockings, wristwatches and all that for cash. If people wanted it enough, they would run anything. Of course, a situation like that does tempt amateurs. So, the center of the city is policed by an international patrol.
He came to here to get new job. His friend Harry Lime was going to offer him it. Martins expected Lime to welcome to him, but he didn’t appear in the station. So Martins went to the Lime’s flat. He climbs the stairs to Harry Lime’s room. A porter was singing a song in German next to the banisters of the floor above. Martins asked him about Lime. A porter can’t speak English well, but he tried to answer. He smattered about the Lime’s last moment. Lastly, he said “Hard work in this frost.” Thanks for him, Martins knew about Lime was died by accident. Matins walked to a cemetery. That time he met Calloway and Anna Schmidt there for the first time. Martins took part in Lime’s funeral. There were also Kurtz and Winkel attended. They doubted Martins. After got some dirt to sprinkle over the grave, Martins walled off though the cemetery, watched by Calloway. Near some parked cars, Martins was called out by him.

“Would you like a lift to town? I’ve got a car here. ”
“Thanks.”

At the car drove off, Paine, who is a sergeant drove off after them in a jeep. In the car, Martins and Calloway got acquainted. Calloway invited Martins in fear of his shock. Calloway took him a bar. They talked about Lime having a drink. Calloway wanted to know about him, and Martins also wanted to talk about him. Martins introduced about himself as a scrubber, but Calloway doesn’t know his name. In addition, he started to say that Lime is the worst racketeer that ever made a dirty living in this city. Nothing to say, Martins was angry. Because he thinks that Martins and Lime were best friends. From knowing that Calloway is a police officer, Martins exposed a hostility to him. Paine sits at a table near the window reading as he listens in o the two men.

“Some petty racket with gasoline or something?”
“It wasn’t petrol.”

Martins suggested Calloway to arrest a few murderers, but he said Lime was also murderer. Martins makes a dive at Calloway. Before he can try, Paine pulls him back. Having had too much to drink, Martins loses his balance and spins around a post. Paine was surprised at hearing the name of Martins. Differently from Calloway, he is a big fan of him. Martins talked to Calloway paying some money. But he called his name “Callaghan”.

“Calloway. I’m English. Not Irish.”
“You’re not going to close your file at a dead man’s expense.”

Calloway changed the topic. Martins stands up to hit Calloway, but Pain quickly lands a punch on his mouth. He asked about his new work helping him up.

Paine introduced Martins to Crabbin. Crabbin represents the C.R.S. of G.H.Q. They give propagandas by doing a little show every week. Last week they had Hamlet. And the week before is the Hindu Dancers. Crabbin proposed to Martins that lecture on the contemporary novel instead of making him welcome. Martins said “O.K.” Then, a telephone rang. It was from Kurtz to Martins. Martins goes out of the hotel, after telling Pain to read his book, called The Lone Rider of Santa Fe.

“It’s a story of a man who hunted down a sheriff who was victimizing his best friend.”
“Seems exciting.”
“It is. I’m gunning just the same way for your Major Callaghan.”

Martins met Kurtz. Kurtz said police officers get rather absurd ideas sometimes. Martins decided to search the truth of Lime’s death. He asked Kurtz to cooperate with him. He refused his demand, but promised to give advice.

The movie review of Drumline

I think this movie’s story is ordinary, but for this reason I enjoyed watching it.
Sometimes, a special story is unfamiliar. I like them but can’t share the their feelings
readily. In that respect, drumline is youthful and passionate, and it reminds me of the
days of high school events.

Whoever likes music has to watch this movie, I think. This is the story of music.
The hero of this movie, Devon is a genius. But he is a selfness and childish boy. He can
play snare drum very well. He is very conceited man. So he disturbs the teamwork. One
day he fought with his leader and won. But Mr. Lee who directs the band, ordered
Devon to leave. After that, Devon changed his mind and after much effort and hardship,
overcame setbacks. In the last scene of the marching, I couldn’t stop dancing with their
music. I like their smiles. They told us they really love music.

I also like music but I have never been belonged to a wind music club. I thought
to join one when I was a junior high school student, but I couldn’t because my friends
who are members of the wind music club said it is not easy to start playing music
instruments like trumpet, saxophone, or clarinet from high school. However I don’t give
up the dream even now. So I have a plan to buy a trumpet and play it after I graduate
from my college. I was looking forward to watching the brass band of opening ceremony
in high school athletic meet every year. By watching this movie, the emotion became
stronger.

I think this movie’s leading character is the band. I was drawn into their
performance. It makes me have gooseflesh! This is the good feeling movie while I was
watching. I want something be enthusiastic about thing like Devon was.

The movie review of Up

I have known the name of Up since few years ago, but never watched it. And
I had been thinking that it was the story of an old man who just flies with his house.
However, this was not true. While watching the movie, from start to finish, I
was always crying. First of all, when Ellie died, Carl looked so sad. I also couldn’t stop
my tears from flowing. He was a quiet man, and in contrast, his wife was an active
woman. They also had no kids. So I thought their house stays silence after she went to
heaven. Practically, Carl doesn’t look happy since he lost Ellie. It is not only because of
living alone, but also because his house was surrounded by construction sites. However
the business people asked him to move, he refused. I think it is because the place is
important for Carl, because he met Ellie for the first time there and they had lived in the
house dreaming to go to a legendary waterfall in South America. I thought he wanted to
protect the house, the mailbox which they made, and other things that were part of their
memories.

I found Carl speaks more and became obstinant than when he was young
when he talks with Russell. But Russell, Dug, and Kevin made him kind while they
spent time together with him. I think the last scene’s Carl is his original state. He is a
strong man. Even though he was over seventy, he could do everything he wants to do.
He doesn’t need his cane.

Russell, Dug, and Kevin were obstructive characters for Carl at first. He was
thinking about just his wife and arriving at the legendary waterfall then. However,
without his knowledge, they became best friends to him. The second scene I cried was
then the two chairs were standing side by side even thought the other furniture was
falling. It expresses how Carl loves his wife, I think. Ellie wishes for his new adventure.
This adventure will bring new happiness to him.

Essay2-02b: Two Robin Hood

We will explain about two movies. We watched different movies. One is Walt Disney, and the other is Warner Brothers.

First, we introduce Natsumi’s favorite scenes. She watched the 2010 version. She likes this movie because Robin is so cool. He is brave and strong, and unique. When Robin and Marian rode on house and went taking a walk, Marian was caught in pond to rescue a goat. Then she disliked him because he is her new husband. So, she didn’t want to help by him and Robin also knew that. However, he dismounted from the house and walked to her. She looked expect something on him, but he rescued a goat first! It was a big shock for Marian, maybe. Of course, Robin helped her, too. But she was little angry. I think she is willful woman. The deputy official of Nottingham is falling love with her, but she doesn’t like him. A deputy official shows off her everytimes, and this scene also he appears. When the deputy official came there, she had already helped by Robin, and introduced him about Robin triumphantly.

Next, She can’t forget the scene of Walter was killed by Godfrey. She likes this old man very very much! So she hate Godfrey. She was impressed by the father and son’s family love. It was so beatiful. She cried and was very sad.

Finally, I enjoyed watching this movie, thanks for the story describes the life of Middle century in Europe. She’s interested in their life style, so it was very charming. Commoners’s life is not only simple but also pleasant. One side, aristocrats are gorgeous.

In addition, we introduce Yuki's favorite scenes. She atched the 1938 version. One of her favorite scenes on the movie is that Robin tests a person who he hopes to make one of his companions. He fights with him and he makes good term with him. They laugh. The other one is a love scene. He knows the princess falls in love with him, but she is dishonest on that. She said that she doesn't fall in love with him, so he makes her say the truth with his clever words. She guesses he is good at romance.

She enjoyed watching the movie. I'm interested in what Robin Hood is thinking. It's exciting. He often smiles. I guess he always has confidence, so a lot of people put confidence in him in the movie.

As you can see, these movies we watched were different, but we liked Robin's action because it is filled with courage. Both the movies describe his courage well. They are exciting. In addition, we watched them and was moved. They made our hearts warm.

Essays 1-03b: The importance loving family

I watched "Mrs. Doubtfire" in our writing class. It is a interesting and charming movie for me. If I am Daniel, I think I couldn't do such a brave deeds, even if I love my children very much. I choose two themes  from class outlines (1A). These are the gap in responsibility for housekeeping, and another is the bonds among family members.

First, the gap in responsibility, it's about Daniel's character. He three children, Lydia, Chris, and Notary. Also, he loves them very very much. However, when Daniel disguised a British old woman, he educated his children strictly. I think both are his true love and these are very beautiful and kindly.

And about the bonds among family members, I think it is very strong. Children miss their father approximately the same their father.  They were allowed to meet Daniel only once a week by their mother. Daniel is important existence for them even he was not good father. I think Daniel and three children were harmonious family. I think that they love their father than their mother, of course they love Miranda very much.

But only Miranda, who is Daniel's ex wife was little  different. Because she decided to divorce with him, and tried to isolate her children from Daniel. I think it was very painful thing for indulgent father to living by himself apart from his family.

The beginning of story, Daniel had a trouble with his workers and resigned his job.  And at the Chris's 14th birthday party, Daniel happened a disturbance even invited polices. That is why, Miranda decided to divorce with him after all. I think  he has a mind like a boy even now, but she couldn't understand it. Since he  had divorced with Miranda, Daniel was just permissively for his children. After that, he changed thanks for his old brother Frank's technic and his miracle voice. I think it was a chance to grow up from a worthless man to good father for him. Divorcing was too shock thing for him and his three chidlren. But, in a sense, it may be good thing.

I think this is a very happy and interesting story. Daniel is a good father. This movie describes ordinary family's lives, but just the thing is wonderful I think. This movie teaches us about the importance of loving family and everyone. It became one of my favorite movies. Do have a look at "Mrs. Doubtfire"! The highlight of a film is, it’s not only comedy but also beautiful story of love.
