I watched this movie about three years ago so I didn’t remember a lot of sense of this movie. This time, I watched again, and I found this movie is so funny.
Monsters Inc. is a fictional company. There are a lot of monsters. They have
individual looks. They work to scare children, and get energy from their voice. One of
them, Sulley, he is the most famous monster. He is a huge blue monster, and has two
horns. He is “the best scarer” in the company. But he is such a kind and friendly man,
and everyone likes him. Sulley’s best partner is Mike. He is a green and round monster.
It looks like a ball. And he has just one eye. He is very chatty. But, I like him better than Sulley.
Their company has the rule which is “don’t love human children.” However, one day a little girl came to monster city. Sulley tried to send the child home with Mike.
Sulley named her Boo. At first, Sulley and Mike were afraid of Boo, because the
monsters believe that human children are poison. However, while staying with her,
they started to love Boo. Then they found that humans and monsters are just afraid
each other. Human children don’t have poison. Monsters are not terrifying. And lastly,
Sulley changed their company’s course from scaring children to to making children
laugh. It enables them to get more energy.
This movie’s setting is devised. Sulley and Mike lives in fantasy world. On the
other hand, Monsters Inc. is an electric power company. At a glance, this combination
looks like mismatch, but audiences are drawn into this story. I think it is because the
characters are very charming.
While I watching this movie, I was thinking that I want to touch Sulley’s fur.
Also it is too interesting the scene of two big monsters caused panic by little girl just walking. I learned there is no border to love someone from this movie. I didn’t find this message when I watched the first time.
