PIGATE

Yesterday, Oct 13, I went to the Kumamoto University to join "PIGATE". It is the study of teaching English. The host is Mr. Tagaki. He is a professor of Kumamoto University department of education. And he also teaches in Kumamoto Gakuen University. I take his class this term, so I decided to go PIGATE. I invited some friends who taking teaching profession.

I had been there only once when I was a high school student to take the test center. So I needed to check the way from my house to Kumamoto University. Then I found Kumamoto University is near by our college. It was surprising.

I arrived there by my motor bike. And my friend Yuki and Haruka came. We went to the department of education, but its door didn't open because that day the building has the examination for service. We didn't know that, so had gotten lost. Few minutes later, we found the place where is hold PIGATE, There were a lot of people. Not only student, but also teachers and foreigners. Mr. Tagaki said the foreigners came from Nigeria, Uzbekistan, and America. I think I met Nigeria and Uzbekistan person for the first time. They are very kind and friendly.

Until four thirty, I learned many things of teaching English at school. I sang the song of English,  watched the video of English class in junior high school, and discussed. Yuki and I will do trail lesson in December. There are a lot of ways how to teach English. I want to talk about them with Yuki, and choose which we use.

I was tired when PIGATE finished. However, this study is useful to prepare for teaching practice. I want to keep joining and get a lot of information from it.
